▶ Your Answer :Many countries contrived of protecting the environment in various ways. However, not many countries succeeded in conserving the environment efficiently as they tried to invest in developing alternative energy and made an effort to protect the forests and wild animals in abstract ways. In my opinion, I believe the government should legislate the law regarded to the environment. First, people will be recognize the degradation happened in the environment. Second, it is the most realistic option among the three. First, people will be aware of the issue of the environment. Many people are busy with their lives which means they do not have time to consider the environment. Thus, by enforcing the laws strongly and fining people who destructs their surroundings, People will recognize their behavior harms the circumstances and attempt to resolve their behavior by challenging themselves to try something beneficial for the environment. In this way, the environment can be saved. For instance, my sister uses her car to reach to her workplace everyday. As she is busy working and maintaining her households, she does not have time to consider other factors. She shortly thought for reaching to her workplace fast by driving a car without noticing that cars contaminate the air. However, as the government reinforced the law by making people to use transportation at least a day in every one month, she could then think driving the individual car hampers the environment. After this realization, she is now going to her workplace by riding a bus which is a public transportation which is better for the environment. In addition, among the three options above, legislating the law concerning the environment is the most realistic option. Investing money for alternative energy cost too much money and it has potential to fail. Protecting the forest and wildlife species is also vague and this might not work out properly. The only way to solve the environmental issues effectively is to enforce the laws that can make people aware that they are polluting the environment. For example, many Korean people suffered from cancer and asthma because of air and water pollution. Korean government attempted to solve this issue by consuming money on developing alternative energy. However, the result was not successful and it happened to pollute the environment more. As Korea wanted to use wind source, they tried to construct many windmills. While constructing, noise and air pollution ruined the environment. After failing to develop wind energy, the government decided to protect the wildlife species by campaigning. This also turned out not successful as people were busy with their life ignoring the campaigns held. In conclusion, I believe passing a law to protect the environment is the most viable option. First, people can realize that their behaviors can ruin the environment. Second, this is the optimal option among the three as it is the option that can be held effectively. |
