▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that we should build a park or plant a
tree to improve the environment in a local community. However, in my opinion,
it is better to facilitate public transportation to make the environment good.
There are two reasons. First, using public transportation by many people can
make the air clean. Second, building a park or planting tree takes too much
time.
First of all, if many people make
use of public transportation instead of their individual cars, the greenhouse
effect can be reduced and atmosphere of a local community can be clean. To be
specific, vehicles are main cause of carbon dioxide that leads to the
greenhouse effect. The worse the greenhouse effect is, the more the environment
changes. Therefore, the environment can get better if cars on the road decrease.
There is an example about the
effect. In Singapore, the prime minister started to regulate the number of cars
and encourage people to use public transportation. As a result, the atmosphere
of Singapore become clean and clean. On the other hand, neighbor countries like
Vietnam did not regulate vehicles and many people take cars and bikes. Hence,
the environment of these countries is worse than that of Singapore.
Also, building a park or planting
a tree needs a lot of time. All grown trees have positive effect on the
atmosphere and air. However, it takes time to grow and during this period, the
pollution can be worse. To be specific, to build a park, appropriate land
should be chosen and it needs to pass the process of building permission.
After that, making park and planting tree also needs time. Moreover, trees need
more time to grow enough. For these reasons, the method of building and
planting trees is not suitable to improve the environment.
In this regard, I firmly believe
that taking public transportation is the best way to improve the environment
for the reasons I mentioned above.
