Recently, general awareness about whether parents
are the best teachers or not has aroused heated arguments. Many people nowadays
seems to have their own role models in their lives. Mostly, people think of famous
people such as presidents, famous speaker and etc. However, in my opinion, no
matter what, the best teachers are definitely one’s parents.
The first reason for my opinion is because they are
the people who knows you the most. In other words, they could give you the best
advice that is very apt for you. For example, when I was a little kid, I was
struggling whether or not I should sign up for the dance crew in my school.
When I asked my friends about my concerns, they all thought I was too shy to
join the crew. However, my parents knew that I was outgoing person but hiding it
when I am at school, so they suggested me to give it a try. Such advice was
possible, because they knew my personality very well, unlike others.
On top of that, I could say that parents could teach
us about wisdom that real teachers do not necessarily care. In school, people
learn lots of knowledge through class and textbooks. However, that is the world
is about. People should know about basic manners, how to be polite, or how to socialize
well among groups of people. Those tips can be only taught through your parents.
No one else will consider such things for you.
To sum up, although many thinks that true teachers
should be famous, qualified, extremely smart people, I firmly agree that
parents are the best teachers that we could ever meet in our lives, as they
know us most accurately, and can give us wisdom as a human being. |
