There might be some people who believe that other qualities, such as leadership and problem-solving skills are more important for a leader of schools. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for two subsequent factors: a sense of responsibility and communication skills.
To begin with, in school, a sense of responsibility is one of the most important qualities of a leader. In general, people can learn and develop a sense of responsibility in school because it is the first step of socializing groups after a family. With this time, people will be able to recognize that they have to be responsible for what they do. Let me bring up my personal story as an example. When I was an elementary school student, I always liked to do whatever I wanted. One day, I broke my friend’s pencils as it was fun to do, but my friend became unpleasant and told about it to a teacher. As a result, the teacher told me to write a long letter to my friend and apologize to her. At that time, the teacher not only did what she had to do responsibly, but also taught me what responsibility is as a leader of the school. Therefore, I could realize that it was not right to do whatever I wanted to do.
On top of that, communication skills are of great significance for a leader of schools. This is due to the fact that usually there are so many students in school, and teachers have to control them. However, it has to be done in combination with persuasion. Therefore, what needs a leader in school can be communication skills. There is an example to explain this. When my friend Suzy was a middle school student, she fought with her friends Christine. Both girls did not want to apologize first, so they had to meet their teacher. After listening to every story about the incident, the teacher persuaded Suzy to say sorry first. This was because she could notice that the cause of the fight came from her. Finally, Suzy realized that fact thanks to the teacher, Suzy and Christine could befriend again. Without a leader like her, they would not have been together.
In conclusion, a leader in school should have a sense of responsibility and communication skills. With these qualities, students can learn many valuable lessons from a leader in school. |
