▶ Your Answer :
It is little wonder to teach growing children profitable
education, but it is hot potato that which methods are adequate, in particular,
working together in small groups versus studying by oneself. In my opinion, I
think that the former is better than latter following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, children can learn how to communicate their
classmates. In comparison to the past, the ability of communication between
members count for much. Additionally,
such learning activities which are based on interplay are obviously better on
the early stage than later. Thus, some educational authorities have been not spared
to ameliorate the educational environment under the rapidly changed society. For example, Korean Educational Board entirely
amend the textbook for elementary school pupils last year. As against the
previous textbook, it contained more activity contents between their peers. One
of writers who codified the textbook said that he would wish that pupil's desks
were always attached in order to discuss with today's class rather than
separated.
Secondly, each of group member helps other members' short point.
Apparently, individual is not almighty existence so we are gotten over the
trouble by others or, conversely, we can help others. Such manner is more
efficient than by striving to surmount it by oneself and this is no exception
between young children. For example, my friend, a tutor who has taught children
origami, told me that I ran the class as the two ways: working alone and
grouping two or three members. In former case, some children not only did not
understand her intend but also cried as they could not catch the next step.
However, the latter case, when one of group members the trouble happened,
another member often proactively helped the member therefore every pupil could complete
the work.
To sum up, I think that teachers should require young children,
especially, 5 to 10 ages, to work together in small groups rather than to work
alone because children can learn the rope of communicating their peers and each
of group member help other members when the member go through the trouble.
