▶ Your Answer : There is a controversial issue regarding whether it is better to be a leader than a follower. Two different opinions exist in regard to this issue, but after taking into consideration of the idea from several perspectives. I side with the idea that being a leader is better for two reasons. To start the argument, being a leader allows individuals to develop a sense of responsibility. This is due to the fact that being in charge of making decision is satisfying. Opponents to the idea may argue that being a follower is better, because it is less burden. However, I believe that being a leader helps improve multiple skills. A leader can determine the goal and visions of an organization. A research conducted by a renowned research center in Korea have shown that people feel happier when they are in control than when following others. This research shown that leaders are satisfied with their lives. On top of that, being a leader gives a person the opportunity to learn valuable skills. This is because leaders learn how to organize and manage. My personal experience could be a great example. When I was a high school student, I developed confidence and responsibility working as president of a student association. I talked with president of school, and I solved a problem. By doing this, I can learn valuable skills. To conclude, I strongly believe that my standpoints of the two reasons are sufficiently convincing. The first is, being in charge of makin decision is satisfying, and being a leader gives a person the opportunity to learn valuable skills. In this regard, I believe that being a leader is better. Opinions may differ from people to people, but what does not change is that this topic is something that needs to be addressed.
