▶ Your Answer :
If we
imagine that our grandparents were young, some people think that life is more
comfortable and easier these days, while others do not. If I were aksed to
choose one, I would like to say that surely, it is more comfortable than
before. There are two reasons to support my opinion as follows.
To begin with,
nowadays people can easily go to another city with more reasonable fees. Thanks
to the development of transportation systems, it is easier for us to move to a
far away area. However, in the past, is was much harder than thesedays. For
example, when my grandfather was a teenager, he had to take a bus because of
high price of the train from Pusan to Seoul in South Korea. He had to spend
almost two days moving to a another city. In fact, the train was too late so
that it took also more than one day to go to the city. However, I can go to the
city with just small amount of money in 24 hours if I take an airplane. This
change is incredable. After listening my granfather's story, I realized that
life is easier these days than the past.
On top of
that, no matter where I am, contacting with others is not problematic. On the
other hand, in the past, communicating with people who live in far away cities
or countries was extremly hard. In a recent research conducted by the National
Telecommunication Institute in South Korea, 95 percent of people agreed that
they can easily contact with friends or family even in another
country such as Australia locatd halfway around the Earth although
there are timetables. The head researcher explained that the invention of smart
phones have helped us communicate with others without any discomfort, compared
than about fifty years before. This shows that our life is more comfortable
nowadays rather than the past.
