▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that investment on art is necessary rather
than that of science or public parks since there are lots of people who love
arts, even under the critical economic crisis. However, in my opinion, I do not
agree with the above idea as science is only solution to overcome the crisis
and the most citizens would do not want to use their tax unclearly.
To begin with, you cannot deny the fact that income from
science fields is very significant and huge compared to the income from arts.
This is because that most employee’s works are related to some parts of
science, nevertheless the number of people who work in art section is minor. Furthermore,
the development of science is helpful for ending the economic crisis completely.
For example, my county, Korea, has a proper experience as an example. In 1960,
a greater part of people was suffering from poorness before the government
invested on skills of making ships and cars. As the results, during 10 years
from 1950 to 1960, the GDP of Korea has extremely upsized thanks to the success
of business in cars and ships.
On top of that, citizens want to confirm that
their precious tax is using for the meaningful sections. In other word, some
visual results, as profits or current phase of the plan, are needed to
understand an amount invested. Unfortunately, most investment in arts cannot
make money or clear achievement in short period. For example, the survey
conducted by the major of economics showed the attitude of people about government’s
expenditure for young artists. The results was intriguing since lots of
responders, over than 62% of whole, answered that they wished the government to
cease the investment for unpopular artists as there is nothing to check whether
they positively influenced on economy. I think that this result strongly
support the above argument
To sum up, the investment in science has had remarkable
results. Moreover, the general citizens require the government not to invest in
obscure sections such as arts. For those reasons, I firmly believe that in
economic crisis, the government have to reduce their expenditure in arts.
