▶ Your Answer :Some people think that governments should
invest in developing medical technologies rather than in improving public
transportation. However, in my opinion, improving public transportation is more
important than developing medical technologies. There are two reasons. First,
developing medical technologies waste a lot of resources and time. Second,
public transportation problem is more urgent.
To begin with, if governments invest in improving
medical technologies, it will squander a lot of
resources and time. Nowadays, although there is countless method to treat
illness, many newly developed medical technologies are not adopted. A recent
study showed that 88 percent of new medical technologies have not used well.
According to the study, the reason is that some medicines and treatments are
too expensive to be used in ordinary homes. The same study asserted that instead of improving medical technologies, it is better to do
something else.
On top of that, governments should invest
improving public transportation because its problem is more urgent. A lack of
public transportation has caused inconvenience for citizens in rural areas. For
instance, I have a friend who lives in country. If he misses the bus which bounds for downtown, he needs to wait
two hours for the next bus. He has had inconvenience
of that, he requires to increase the number of the busses to city hall for 3
years. However, its city hall does not listen his assertion during now.
Consequently, he suffers from this inconvenience. That’s why public
transportation has to improve.
To sum up, governments have to invest in refining
public transportation because unless they do, it causes waste of resources and
times and they do not solve the problem. In this regard, I strongly believe
that governments must invest in improving public transportation rather than in
developing medical technologies. |
