▶ Your Answer: It is well to put to people one question, namely, is it the best way for kids to care for a pet? In my opinion, caring for a pet is the most essential behavior for developing responsibility. This is because children can not only learn the consequences of their own actions but deliver the importance of time management.
To begin with, by raising a pet, children recognize the consequences of their own actions immediately. If children were not giving adequate attention to their pet, they could get sick soon after. For example, when I was young, my parents bought me an adorable pet. I gave so much attention to my dog. One day, I was eating the chocolate in my room, and my dog seems to want it, so I gave a lot of chocolate for my dog. Soon after, my dog got sick and I went to the animal hospital with my dog. The Doctor said me that chocolate is one of the prohibitive foods for dogs. I was so much regretted and felt sorry about my dog. Through those experiences, I realized that my actions could affect to consequences gravely whether directly or indirectly.
On top of that, children learn time management in their lives. Feeding, bathing, and walking are a must for a pet on a daily basis. Through those actions, children can manage their time effectively. For example, when my parents bought me a dog, they told me that a lot of things are required for a pet. I cared for my dog by doing exercising, feeding, and bathing. It was so onerous to me that I could not manage my time effectively. I tried to deal with my time effectively and finally, I managed it between studying and caring for a pet. Through the experience, I could spend my time effectively on a daily basis and I became a diligent person as I age in my life. I think it a great decision for me to care for a pet at the younger period.
To sum up, raising a pet can not only promote a sense of responsibility but teach time management to children. In this regard, no other actions is so important for children's growth as is caring for a pet.
