▶ Your Answer : It is commonly mentioned
that in order to encourage children to study harder, parents should avoid
letting them watch television, and many people are apt to agree with such a
comment to some extent. However, as I see it, watching television is helpful for
students. This is account on the fact that they can get out of stress, and experience
many things indirectly.
To begin with, students can
relieve the stress from studying. There are many programs like talk shows, dramas,
movies, and music shows. Students can take a rest through televisions and get
rid of stress. Then they can refresh themselves and start to focus on studying.
According to the survey in Korea University, students who watch television think
their lives happier and stable. They said that watching television is the effective
way to concentrate on their studying when they cannot focus on the work.
On top of that, children can
get information from the television programs. There is a variety of jobs in
dramas, documentaries, and movies. Children could learn about the jobs more
vividly and realistically with a small amount of time. Let me give you an example
related to my experience. When I was younger, I watched a lot of dramas. I usually
watched CSI and NCIS, which are about forensic science and criminals. I have been
interested in forensic science through these dramas, I want to be a criminal scene
investigator now. I think that the television helped me to experience many jobs
and gave a lot of information.
To sum up, letting children watch
television are good for decreasing their stress level, and learning knowledges.
Taking all these things into account, I have arrived at the rational conclusion
that watching television is good for children to study harder. |
