▶ Your Answer :
It is debatable whether all students should be required
to take history courses. This is an intriguing question because opinions
concerning this issue can be different relying on the individual opinions.
However, I support that all students should learn history for the following
reasons.
First of all, history should be mandatory for students
because history creates opportunity to knowledge, which as a result allows people
to obtain valuable information, stay ahead, and attain personal growth. People
need to be educated throughout their lives because education is the most
powerful weapon that they can use to change the world as well as their own lives.
For example, when I was younger, I took an history class in elementary school.
I learned how to collect plants in the past that math and science classes can not
handle. Thanks to history classes we can know collecting plants efficiently. Like
this way, students can attain knowledge through history classes that make them
helpful.
In addition, students have to learn world history
because knowing world history broadens people’s perspectives. To be specific, knowing
world history allows people to better understand other cultures, lifestyles,
and perspectives. As modern society is becoming increasingly globalized, today’s
world requires people with international views. People can do this better studying
history. To illustrate, Steve Jobs, who is the founder of Apple, made great
accomplishments in his lifetime. I read online that he was very successful
because he was global-minded and culturally sensitive. He did this by studying
world history. Therefore, this proves that students should be required to take
history courses in order to broaden their views.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that all students must study
history. All things considered, it is my belief that my argument regarding this
topic has been effectively and precisely delivered with the reasons mentioned
above.
