It is better to
complain in person
than to complain in writing.
When we use services or products, we often encounter unexpected problems. In this case, some people prefer to complain in writing, but I believe it is better to complain in person. Complaining in person is efficient because you can resolve issues on the spot. Also, you can avoid misunderstandings and come up with a reasonable solution.
To begin with, complaining in person brings (주어 동사 불일치) about a rapid resolution. These days, we are committed to achieving so many things in a limited time. When problems occur unexpectedly, complaining in person is faster than complaining in writing. It does not require you to take time for sitting down, thinking through, and writing issues in detail. When you meet a person in charge and complain directly, you do not need to waste your time waiting for replies but resolve issues immediately. According to the survey done by Target, 95% of customers who filed a complaint responded that they solved problems quickly when they visited a store and complained in person, rather than the one in writing. The result of the survey highlights that complaining in person does not hold you to work on the problem for a long time but fix the problem instantly.
Additionally, complaining in person prevents you from misunderstandings and results in a reasonable solution. By meeting a person in charge, you have a chance to communicate with the counterpart and cross-check factors in your complaint. This process is important because you can deal with the complaint in a reasonable manner. In other words, complaining in person allows you to perceive the situation objectively and avoid misunderstandings which could be originated from your lack of understandings or awareness. Let me take my personal example to illustrate this point. When I had issues with my laptop for several days, I wanted to complain in person, so I went to the store with the laptop. I complained and explained the issue. (새로운 문장으로 시작해주세요) a service representative helped me to change my laptop into a new one for free, according to the warranty policy. If I had not visited the store in person and talked with a staff member, I would not have been able to stay reasonable and failed to resolve the problem.
Conclusively, I firmly believe that complaining in person is better than complaining in writing. Complaining in person leads to fixing (동명사) your problem quickly, so you do not need to think about the problem for a long time. Besides, talking with a counterpart and complaining generate reasonable solution and avoid misconceptions.
