Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Cars have made a greater impact on society than airplans.
Some people think that cars have made a greater influence on society than airplanes, whereas others hold the opposite view.
As for my position, I stand on the side of the latter.
The grounds for this are that people can learn foreign culture and airplanes affects how countries educate children.
To begin with, people can easily experience other countries' culture by traveling there.
This is because by going a trip to other countries, people can meet foreign people and enjoy foreign events.
Let me give you an example related to my experience. When I was a middle school students, I went to Canada where my cousin is living with my family. In Korea, people have a meal, chatting with others. However, as I tried to chat with family, my cousin taught me that it is manners to have a meal quietly in Canada. From this, I came to learn etiquette in Canada which is different with Korea.
On top of that, how countries teach children is affected by airplane.
In the past, children were taught about things that are related to their own country. However, as there are a lot of chances to interact with foreign people because of airplanes, children start to learn about foreign language, and history, and so on.
To exemplify what I mean, When I was a child, the importance of learning English was not that big. However, as I am growing up, more and more people start to interact with people in other countries, which makes learning English important. Therefore, even elementary students in Korea are taught about English.
Taking all of these things into account, I have arrived at the rational conclusion that airplanes have made a greater effect on society than cars because airplanes allow people to learn foreign culture and change how children are educated.
