▶ Your Answer :
In current society, many people go the extra mile to live happy lives, striving in the competitive world. It had been controversial whether possessing more makes people happier. I adamantly believe that more possessions make people happier in many respects concerning the fact that it yields more accomplishments and makes people’s lives more plentiful. To begin with, Possessing much means having more accomplishments. In this modern society, a less competitive person tends to have fewer possessions, because of a plethora of competitions. So if someone performs better in the workplace, they may obtain an optimal result with more achievements. Moreover, accomplishments through competitions make people more vigorous, making them happy. For example, in primary education, I had no exam in school, so I was not interested in studying. However, when I entered high school, there were frequent exams each semester. So I could take an extensive measures to study and got higher grades compared to most of my friends because earning grades gave me accomplishments and happiness. Moreover, collecting accomplishments helps me propel further goals in university to enrich my life and obtain more happiness. On top of that, more possessions make our life abundant. This society was built based on Capitalism. It means that without money, we can lose our dominance in society. Moreover, if we have more economic advantages, we can make our life flourished in many aspects including to receiving services such as medical care, fashion, foods, and travel. These days, many people travel for vacation. They normally spend a massive amount of money on plane tickets and accommodations. If someone minimizes expenditure, he will use an economy class in a narrow seat and stay in a reasonable place without quality services. On the contrary, if someone can utilize more money at travel, he can take a business class in a wide and comfortable seat; and stay in a fancy hotel with broad and a lot of services. Latter case is more likely to make a person happier for most people in society. In brief, it is essential for people to possess much for it allows people a lot happier. Thus, people should exert themselves in schools and workplaces to collect more and optimal results. |
