▶ Your Answer :
Universities invest lots of their money
into their libraries however, I believe that universities should also provide much
money for sports programs as well for two reasons.
To begin with, there is a saying that ‘a
sound mind in a sound body’. If universities want their students perform well
on their major and works, then they also should invest in sports programs as
well. In eastern culture, there is a saying similar to it which is “che, deok
and ji”. First, “che” means sound body. Second “deok” means mature and
well-rounded characteristics. Finally “ji” means knowledge. The importance
required for a person to be called ‘well educated’ is in that sequence. Therefore,
it also shows how much our physical health is influential and big part in our
learning as well. I also believe that our body health is way more important than
knowledge or personality. In order to be a person who educated well, we also
need to pay lots of attention to our health condition.
Secondly, universities investing a lot in
their sports programs really can improve student’s health effectively. Since we
spend lots of time in our universities and there are even students who are
living in their dormitories, if school decides to invest in on campus sports
programs, it would be super beneficial for the students. I would like to give
an example of my personal experience. Few years ago when I was a university
student, I enrolled in on campus gym program. I went to so many other gyms as
well however, since I spend so much time on campus and there were break times
between classes, I could actually manage to attend all the training programs
and lost 10 pounds.
For these reasons, I believe that
universities should invest just as much money as in libraries into their sports
programs.
