There has been an argument regarding the issue of whether people with different interests or personalities cannot be friends. Some people might say that people can be a friend each other though they have different sides. However, in my opinion, it is very hard to be a good friend with a person who scarcely has a similarity. In this essay, I will present two reasons to support my idea. To begin with, It is more likely to fight with friends who have different character. To be specific, people usually spend most of their free time with friends. When you choose what to do in this time, you should communicate with your friend, but it would be hard for you to narrow the difference if you and your friend have many other sides. There is no doubt that they will lead to fight. For example, when I was a high school student, there was a classmate whose name is Judy. At first, we tried to make a relationship each other. We took a walk, and talk together where I knew that she was interested in basketball. As I had been injured during playing a basketball, I totally hated it. However, She always wanted to play it with me, and I finally got angry to her. On top of that, there are fewer topics to talk if there are no common interests. To put it another way, word is very important material to understand other’s mind, thoughts, and life. To be a friend means sharing one’s emotions and ideas, and making an empathy toward other people. Hence, making a conversation with common interest is an essential factor to be a friend. For instance, Jack and I are the best friend. Since we like Korean dramas, we always talk about the scenes of them. This similarity makes us talk more often, and we can get a concrete relationship through this topic. In a nutshell, my contention is that you can make a good friend if he or she has more similarity. This is because you are less likely to fight with your friend, and be more garrulous which make you know your friend well. Therefore, find a friend who has many common sides with you.
