Some people might say that television and
movies have positive effects on children’s behavior. However, in my opinion, television
and movies led to bad results for children. There are two reasons. First, while
a child is watching television or movie and they unintentionally exposed violence
and followed these behaviors which learn from two media. Also, moral confusion can
be occurred owing to more rude action.
First of all, seeing two media may be generated
to risky behavior. Children often cannot hard to tell the difference between
reality and fantasy. To elucidate my opinion, I will introduce an article that a
child died while mimicking a movie stunt. Furthermore, this case is not the first
accident in Korea. According to a report conducted by the women and family department
of government, these events continuously increased between 1990 and 2020. They also
found surprising a fact that the gradient rate of incidents has a positive correlation
with the development of media and technology. The children become more dangerous
owing to increasing content numbers and more realistic statements in television
and movie.
On top of that, movies and television programs
allowed rude behavior and some violence to continue the storyline and funny. But
the child not able to determine that it is a bad attitude, crime and they just accepted
it is fine. After a few years, the child is doing like that even if no doubt felt.
Two media have been seriously affected children’s morals. To support my proposal,
I will take an example which is my cousin’s experience. She loved heroes, watch
all day on hero contents. But media producers conducted these heroes catch criminals
using some illegal activities. This point makes the child confuse their moral concepts
because they do not completely develop this consciousness.
To sum
up, two media do not give a good impact on children. Media producers cannot produce
the programs for an only child as well as some fantasy led to serious results
such as a damaged body, having wrong morals about the world. |
