▶ Your Answer :Some people think that having profound
knowledge about one specific subject is more important than having a broad range
of knowledge about various subjects in our life. However, in my opinion,
versatile knowledge is necessary for our life. This is because this ability
makes it easy to socialize one another and offers opportunity to work in
diverse field of jobs to people. To begin with, people with widespread
knowledge about multiple subjects can mingle well with others. This quality
enables people to say a variety of themes of conversation. For example, when I
was in middle school, an English teacher in academy had wide-range of knowledge.
He was aware of earth science and Korean history in detail. Thanks to this
ability, he could socialize with science and history teachers. On the contrary,
a math teacher had only deep knowledge about her major and she was always
solitary.
On top of that, people who have studied
broad range fields of subjects can be employed to various occupations. People
with electricity and computer knowledge can apply to not only electronic
companies but also industries that handle matter of computer. For example, my
cousin had majored multiple subjects that consist of architecture and
electronic engineering. Due to his skills, he could apply to an architecture
company as well as an electronic appliance company. Although he failed to enter
in the latter, he could work in architecture one and still perform tasks in that
company. If he had only one profound knowledge about the electronic subject, he
might have not success finding a job.
To sum up, someone with expansive knowledge
about different fields can hang out with each other and be in a variety of
careers. In this regard, I strongly believe that having a wealth of knowledge
about wide area is more valuable than having focused knowledge about only one
domain. |
