▶ Your Answer : Both sides may have their reasons to support for their views. Thus, some people think that allowing kids to live in large cities is better to grow them with fine conditions and environments. However, if I had to choose one, I would say that it is much more advantageous for children to live in the rural area. This is because the countryside can allow them to contact with nature and children can learn wisdom for their life from old people in the village.
To begin with, kids in the countryside have more opportunities to experience nature. Therefore, it is natural for them to have interests in the environment, since there are numerous kinds of flora and fauna that have wonderful and intriguing features in local places. Moreover, they will directly recognize the severity of environmental pollution in the earth. From my experience, much of my childhood was spent in the rural area with my grand parents. When I took a rest or spent free time, I used to go to the small park located in the middle of my town with my friends. However, as time passes, factories gradually occupied the part of the village, the stream, grounds have been polluted by many pollutants from several factories. Thus, the wastes created dire odor in the air around some area of my town. In this sense, I felt that people are accelerating the level of contamination in the planet. Furthermore, this environmental reality made me decide to participate in the movement to save the environment for my whole life.
On top of that, children can learn wisdom and manner for human relationships. In large cities, people are less likely to keep their manner among others. The modern society is getting more selfish by egoism, so it is hard for kids to learn how they have consideration for people in city lives. On the other hands, old people in the rural area are teaching strictly manner, wisdom in relationships, and specifically, a sense of community spirit for young men. For instance, my grand parents always emphasized that when I talk with others, I should focus on listening to them first, and hold eye contact with people during communication. This is because it is an important manner for people to concentrate on what they are talking before I try to assert my opinion. If I just want to speak my words with selfish mind, I could not continue both of the relation with a counterpart and conversation for improving a problem with him.
In conclusion, I strongly support the idea that growing up is much better for kids in the countryside than in a huge city since they can obtain valuable realization for the environmental condition and consideration for others in the community. |
