The writer argues that the Etruscan civilization was originated from Turkey because the Etruscans’ DNA, language and funerary practices are similar to Turkey. However, the speaker thinks that the writer’s claim is skeptical by presenting three arguments.
To begin with, the writer maintains that DNA evidence displays that they are derived from Turkey because of resemblance of genetic markers. On the contrary, the speaker opposes the idea. This is because DNA was naturally damaged by the stream of time and polluted by a lot of people.
On top of that, the writer contends that their language represents that it is roots of Turkey because of similarities between Etruscan and Turkey and dissimilarities between them and Indo-European. However, the speaker disproves this relationship. Because some languages are similar with others. Plus, despite this resemblance, people who were using this language were few survivors.
Finally, the writer claims that the link of funerary practices is evidence that the Etruscans are migrated from Turkey because the characteristic of it is shared with them. On the other hand, the speaker counters the claim because there are no reasons of it. The reasons show that the practices had been utilized before Etruscans existed. So they were ancestors of locals. |
