The bar chart illustrates that the percentage of Canadian males and females with gym memberships by age groups, in the year of 2015.
Overall, it is evident that the percentages of females, from all age groups apart from the age group of 18 to 27, were higher than that of males.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that the figure of males aged 18 to 27 was the highest with 33.1%, so it was the only age group which was higher than the figure of females, with 26.9%. However, the portion of males dropped until the age group of 38 to 47, which had the least percentage. On the contrary, the portion of females in the same age group was 33.9%, so it showed the largest gap between men and women in this age group, with 18.9% and 33.9%, respectively. Notably, the gap between men and women got smaller in the older groups. Finally, the highest figure for females was 34.1% in the age group of 58 to 67, which was 1% higher than the highest figure for males.
