As indicated above, my research experiences are not concentrated in one area. I must concede that this is not a preferred background for the candidates of professional degrees in engineering.
It too has given me troubles in articulating my goal for earning the next level of degree; how I expect to contribute to the proposed field of engineering and what career plans I am planning... I should think trying out for as many work experience and research experience as possible - but with enough information, and be sure to end each of them well - would help your search of profession.
I also had to submit SOP without receiving professional editing. They contained mistakes from minor grammatical errors to the general outline, but the circumstances didn't allow me to receive one. I think everyone shoud avoid such case.
On my resume, other experiences that I had in my undergraduate level of education are recorded. These are one semester of TA experience for the history class from the Humanity Science department and RA experience through the IAESTE program. I applied for architecture program for the latter RA experience. I am not sure how they would have helped. But the experience certainly lengthened my resume.
I hope this piece helps someone out there with little confidence and a lot of worries. |
