Some people think that getting enough sleep and having a positive attitude is the best way to become healthier, while others say that the best method to become healthier is exercising regularly. Both sides may have their own reasons to support their views. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that exercising regularly is the efficient way to become healthier. There are several reasons as follows. To begin with, when people do moderate exercise, it will help them improve their physical health. When people’s bodies heat up during exercise, their bodies generate more white blood cells. An increase in white blood cells is likely to strengthen their immune systems. For example, South Carolina University found a huge difference between two groups of young adults. One group consisted of those who spent more than two hours a week exercising, and the other group made up of those who did not. The researchers found that the former was more likely to have a higher resistance to diseases than the latter. In particular, most of first group had normal weight without serious illnesses. On the other hand, many of the second group tended to be overweight and develop various adult diseases, such as diabetes, fatty liver disease, and hypertension. This implies that moderate exercise is the key to physical health. On top of that when people exercising together regularly, it can contribute to an increase in their overall happiness. Exercising regularly gives them a chance to interact with others in today’s society. Being with others tends to prevent them from feeling lonely. When my sister was in a high school, she often felt depressed that her life became an exhausting routine. To survive in a competitive world, she spent the whole day studying all academic subjects, as doing this, her health became worse. She was overweight and taken illnesses frequently. Fortunately, she was able to deal with such health worsening and stress in a safe way by participating a soccer team. She regularly exercised in every week. By doing this, she was able to let off some steam, as well as she could made healthy body. Otherwise, she could have herself in dangerous activities such as drugs or fights as a way to handle a lot of stress and strain. All things considered, I strongly argue that the advantages of exercising regularly far outweigh those of getting enough sleep or having a positive attitude for the reasons I have mentioned above. All in all, the important of exercising regularly cannot be overestimated in pursuit of physic health. |
