Opinion might be divided whether people should have meals with their
family members regularly or not. People of various ages and from different
walks of life may take diverse position on this issue. Some people would argues
that they do not need to have meals regularly with their family due to
different of life styles. However, in my opinion, I agree with the statements
for the following reasons.
To begin
with, by eating meals with family members, people are more care about nutrition
for their health. They will use better ingredients and cook nutritious food.
Generally people who live alone do not consider seriously about their meals so
more often go out for the meals and eat fast food or precooked food. For
example, when I entered the university I moved out of my parents’, I did not
eat breakfast but often ate fast food. As a result, I gain a lot of weight that
brought me much stress. Once my vacation started, I came back to my parents’ home
and enjoyed homemade food everyday which was very nutritious and well balanced its
taste. I became losing my weight that I got from the life alone.
On
top of that, it will help to enhance family bonding during the meal. Each
family members can keep up with one another’s life. There are families that
grow apart emotionally even when they live together since then do not have time
to talk. Therefore people need some time together and eating meals on a regular
basis will bring good chance to improve family relationship. When I was in high
school, my father set a rule to have dinner all together every Sunday night,
and we all tried to keep that regardless of our personal agenda. I felt moral
support from my family by having dinner especially, when I had in trouble
outside.
To sum up,
it would not easy to have meals with family on a regular basis since people go
through different stages of life, however eating meals with family would
improve our life in both physically and emotionally, I highly recommend to have
meals with them regularly. |
