There has been a controversy over whether children should have art and
music as mendatory mandatory school
subjects along with math, history, science, and language. Some people might
thinkg children do not have to learn art and music because they are
already too busy to learn other subjects such as
science and math. However, I disaree disagree
with this notion and strongly believe that art and music are necessary for
children for two reasons.
First of all, art and music are helpful for reducing stress. Some people,
whether they are adults or children, watch
musical performances or listen to music when
they have lots of stress. They unconsciously know enjoying art and music is a
good way to remove their stress. This is one of the
advantages of these subjects because art and
music are creative works. So, when children learn art and music and actively
participate in creative works, they can handle their stress appropriately. This
is necessary, not optional, for children, because children get lots of stress
from their school works. They are forced to learn lots of subjects and to spend
almost all of their time to study. To keep their mental health, learning art
and music is needed. Children can concentrate on their study by removing their
stress. In the long term, children who learn art
and music in their school will be successful people because they know how to
get rid of their stress and they can work efficiently. (학생들이 자신의 여가시간에 음악이나 예술을 배우거나 즐길 수 있지 않나요?
자신들의 여가시간에 이러한 활동들을 못하는 이유들을 먼저 대주시면 더 탄탄할 것 같습니다)
Second, art and music are beneficial for emotional development. This is
because art and music are based on human emotion and feeling than intelligence, and
it is a main diffence difference between
these two subject and the other subjects. Children can learn how to express
their feelings and to share their emotions with others. From the subjects, children will become
sensitive people. As a result, children will have good social relationships because they can share their feelings with others and understand other’s others’ emotions. It is
obvious that understanding others is the first step to make a good
relationship. For instance, art and music are
were mendatory mandatory subjects
when I was in an elementary school. I was taught to express my feelings and share my ideas with my classmates. It was a memorable experience and I have been a sensitive
person since then. In the
present, I have good social relationships in
both my workplace and home, and believe that
this is because of the lessons in my elementary school.
In conlcusion conclusion, I maintains
that learning art and music is necessary for two reasons. Firstly, it helps
children to reduce stress. Secondly, it has a positive effect on emotional
development.
