▶ Your Answer :
There might be some people who believe that
teachers should be paid at least as much as doctor, lawyer, business CEO.
However I personally disagree with the above idea for two subsequent reasons.
First, teachers cannot be motivated by a lot of money. Second, teachers are
less stressful jobs.
To begin with, teachers will not be
motivated by money. To be specific, teachers should not focus on a lot of money
because their role is growing students as mature adults. Teachers usually feel
motivated when their students go to the right direction and be successful. Also,
teachers concentrate their value to their students’ achievement. However if
teachers are paid a plenty of money, people would want to be teachers without
mind of loving students. Let me bring up my mother’s story as an example. She
is a high school literature teacher. At first, she complained about her low
salary. However, as time went by, she was so fine because their students became
successful leaders. She sometimes says that seeing students grow up greatly is
more valuable than making a lot of money.
On top of that, teachers are less stressed.
This is because doctor, lawyer and CEO are very demanding, require more responsibility,
and have longer working hours. Even they have no time to spend with their
friends and family. However, teachers have enough time to spend with their
loved ones, which makes teachers live a well-balanced life. According to a study
done by the Korea times, 80% of CEOs, lawyer and doctors said that they do not
have time to spend with their friends and family so they feel lonely. They added
that they do not need a lot of money and they want to spend time with their
loved ones. This shows that teachers are less stressful jobs so they do not
have to be paid as much as doctors, lawyer and CEO
In conclusion, a plenty of money cannot be
means of motivation for teachers. Not only that, doctor, lawyer and business
CEO are more stressful jobs than teachers. For these reasons, teachers should
not be paid as much as doctor, lawyer and CEO |
