▶ Your Answer : Undoubtedly, money plays a significant role in people’s daily lives in many of the places where they play or work. Some people think that spending money on trips is better than putting it aside for future, while others do not. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that spending money for trips have more benefits than to put it aside for future. There are several reasons as follows. To begin with when people go on a trips, it can be contribute to an increase in their overall happiness. When people have various experiences through travel foreign countries, it can provide pleasure. It gives them a chance to experience something different what they would do in their usual routine. A new experience tends to prevent them from feeling bored in life. For example, when my sister was in high school, she often felt depressed thinking that her life became an exhausting routine. To survive in a competitive world, she spent the whole day studying all academic subjects, hoping that she could outdo others. Fortunately, she was able to deal with such pressure and stress in a safe way by spending money on trips and experienced new things such as cultural custom, foreign local foods, learned other languages. By doing this, she was able to let off some stream. Otherwise, she could have involved herself in dangerous activities such as drugs or fights as a way to handle a lot of stress and strain. On top of that when people take a trip, it exposes them to different lifestyles, customs and cultures in their workplace. Such exposure is likely to help them to acknowledge that different values exist, to understand this diversity and to ultimately be comfortable with it. For example, when I was eight years old, I saw one of my classmates from Ethiopia eating his meal with bare hands. I felt very uncomfortable by his behavior because it was my first time seeing someone like that. I kept my distant from him and sometimes made fun of him. However, after I had trips for several times in Africa, I got used to this cultural difference. I realized that we had a lot in common in a way that we all cared about our family and friends, were committed to relationships, and got easily hurt by what others say. I no longer feel awkward and can make friends with them. All things considered, I strongly argue that the advantages of spending money on trips far outweigh those of putting it aside for future for the reasons I have mentioned above. All in all, the important of plentiful experiences through traveling cannot be overestimated in the pursuit of happiness in life. |
