▶ Your Answer :
Some people might say that people should have courage in decision
making in order to success in their workplace. However, in my opinion, people
should listen to words from others for two reasons. First, sometimes people can
miss something without notice. Second, people who want to be promoted need a
lot of support from coworkers.
To
begin with, different person has different perspective so they can see what you
miss or ignore. To be specific, you can’t be always right. If someone consider
him as master in everything, I might ignore brilliant ideas resulting in
financial damage to their companies. For example, there was a survey conducted
by a group of business majors with 200 CEO as respondents. The purpose of the
survey was to understand their thoughts about decision making. The majority of
respondents replied that they always meet with other colleges as many as
possible before making an important call. By doing that, they can avoid many
mistakes. The survey proves that taking advice from others is important ability
to become a successful leader.
On
top of that, you can success in the workplace without coworker’s support.
Company cannot be managed by single person. Every member in corporation is
specialist in their own fields. And mangers should collect their thoughts then
deal with problems. If the leader makes a solution only by himself, that
solution would be not advocated by employees resulting in losing leadership. For
instance, I will talk about my uncle and my father to elucidate my point. In
the case of my uncle, he always decided very important call by himself without
any advice from others. Unlike my uncle, my father always held a group meeting
when he needs to figure out some problems. Now, my father is one of managerial
people. In contrast, my uncle fails to promote unlike my father does.
To
sum up, people should accept criticism to become successful in their workplace
because they need not only other point of views but also people who is in their side.
