▶ Your Answer :
It is evident that
in our current society supporting has a tremendous importance in our lives.
Some people think that parents should help their children in order to make them
independent in their school work, while others do not. I however, believe that
parents have to should encourage children to make them independent in
their school work. There are two reasons that I feel are the most relevant to
the topic: the concepts of success and experience.
First of all, the
most important reason for my feeling this way is that it is much easier to
become a successful professional when parents encourage their children to help make
them become independent in their school work. Commonly in society,
companies tend to prefer people who have a good combination of with
skills, knowledge and experiences. This reminds me of a time when I was
interviewing for various internship programs. Though many questions were asked
about my personal life and hobbies, the answers which the interviewers took the
most interest in were the responses on the way to handle my final project by
myself. Many companies preferred an expert but they ultimately needed someone
who has independent skills in their field. As a result, I was accepted to
various internship positions which offered related to analysis analyst. If
my parents had helped me I would not have become an independent an
independence person. As this experience shows, parents should encourage
children to make them independent in their school work.
Another reason for
my thinking this way is that children can learn something from their
experience. What one can learn through only helping with help from parents
can only go so far. This applies in a variety of different but relevant situations.
I failed miserably the first time I tried to cook rice. I listened to the
advice my mother gave me but I still was not able to cook the rice. On top of
that, it took me
over ten tries before I was able to cook it properly. This same situation applies
to school life. Some things have to be learned thorough their own
personal experiences. This clearly proves that getting help from
parents is not a good way to make children independent in their school work.
To conclude, I
think parents have to encourage their children to make them independent in
their school work. That way, children not only become a successful
professionals but they will also learn something from their own
experiences. |
