Some argue that specializing in a specific subject is more important than taking various classes since they insist that it is shortcut for becoming expert. I strongly believe that, however, students are likely to find their hidden talent by themselves and lead a successful career by learning many classes in a school.
First, students can discover their strength by learning a wide range of subject. In the past, it was hard for students to find suitable job because of old-fashioned educational system. The report additionally says that these days teenager are more satisfied than in the past as they can decide the field want to go more easily due to varied subjects they have been experienced. In this way, taking different classes is important to students for their future.
Lastly, educational institutions should inspire students to study multiple subjects so that they can strengthen their competitiveness in society. Currently, due to the globalization and development of technology, people are expected to execute a large amount of work. Therefore, it is common that a person is in charge of various things at once. In this sense, people can’t live without multiple skills. For example, I’m working for marketing department in a bank. To get promoted, I have to be good at not only handling Microsoft tools but also mathematics and even music or art when I meet some clients. Since I was interested in take many classes when I was in university, fortunately, I am the one be admitted in my company. It is hard for people to succeed who concentrated on specializing in one subject. For this reason, students should gain knowledge in various areas rather than focus on one subject to become successful in their future.
In conclusion, I assert that students are better off studying many subjects than specializing in one subject. By doing so, students can explore and find their aptitude at earlier stage. Moreover, they can increase their likelihood of success in the competitive society. |
