▶ Your Answer :
Some people would prefer to be a leader as the leader seems to have authority and respect. However, in my opinion, being a leader is irritating and exhausting thing as s/he can not have his/him own time and is likely to be under pressure. Therefore, I prefer to being a follower.
To begin with, person can focus on their achievement when they choose to be a follower. Leader should take care of all members in group as he is leading other followers. Therefore, leader doesn't have enough time to improve their personal achievement as leader should devote his many valuable hours to group. It would reduce time that his own time and it will have bad impact on his achievement. For example, my friend, Susan, was a chief of class last year. Even though she liked to devoting herself for class, her grade fell a lot. This disappointed her parents and she is regretting that she was a last year. It is also likely happen to any other leaders.
On top of that, being a leader means being under a heavy pressure. Leader means a person who takes all responsible. Therefore, even though he didn't commit a fault directly, he should take all critics because of a single reason that he is a leading person. Also, it would become a pressure to him whenever he get tasks as he should control all his follower to succeed. There is a poll asking students how much they get stressed. According to the survey, the stress which leaders get is 20% heavier than one that followers get. This shows how stressful taking a roll of leader is.
To sum up, there is no reason to be a leader which should be stressful and devote time for self-develop to group. Therefore, I strongly believe that being a follower is much better. |
