▶ Your Answer :
Some people would prefer friends who are different from them as they can give fresh and offer diversity of perspective. However, if I have choice, I would prefer to make friends who have many common things with me. I think they will be best friends in sharing concern and enjoying hobby.
To begin with, friends who are similar with me are the best to understand me; as she and I would be likely to think in same way. Even though we share opinions on certain disputable issue there is no possibility to fight as our opinions might not be different ultimately. Moreover, the friend could comfort me when I have dificult time; or when I need a piece of advice as she would advise me by thinking in my position.
To take my experience as an example, I have a friend who has directly opposite personality compare to me. Even though we liked each other, we always fought as we have differences in perspective. Soon we avoid each other due to frequent fighting. The frequent fighting with her, still remains as bad memory to me.
On top of that, a friend who are similar to me is the best partner to spend time. If she is similar to me, she would have same hobby or would have interest in same area. We can spend time together by doing what both of us want. Moreover, if she and I are interested in same area, we could develop knowledge of the area by sharing information together. For example, I and Susan, who is my best friend, have same hobby. We like traveling and often have had trip together. All the trips we had were memorable and precious. We were also able to improve our hobby by sharing information such as where is the best restaurant in a certain area or must have items to go trip. She and I are still best friends and I love to go travel with her.
To sum up, similar friends can comfort me by advising me in same perspective and make me happy by spending time together. In this regard, I think making a similar friends is much better than making a different friends. |
