Opinions might be divided over vary whether although it is better for people can get
to have a social reputation they can work hard with a low salary. People from
different walks of life may take different stances on this issue. Personally,
But I believe
that many people need to money to maintain their daily lives than social
recognition. And there are
two reasons that could validate my position.
The first point that I would like to make in supporting
my view is that people need have many daily neccessities necessaries such as clothes, houses, foods and so
on. Of course, social recognition often helps people to be motivated and
maintain a positive
mental health and then people have more self-confidence.
However, unlike in the past, people today have to buy many basic living
essentials to maintain daily lives. According to a study by a KNNRC, the number
of things that people need to live their basic life lives has more than tripled over the past ten years. This means that people
must work harder than the past and get more money. What’s more, The study also pointed out that the cost of these
things have risen up to 40 percent. As a result, to be
able to live in a
contemporary society or just to maintain
their basic lives life, people need
to work hard to earn more salary than gain social recognition potion.
Another compelling reason that should be taken into
account is that people need to enjoy their hobbies or leisure activities which
require large sums of money. Today, many people are tied up with an enormous
number of tasks and are busy catching up with a great deal of work. Also they
suffer from their appointments and projects at their
workplace. Therefore, people need to have a
way to relieve stress from their demanding schedules and cheer them up. A study
by Seoul National University showed that more than 80 percent of people who
make it a rule to do their favorite activities like traveling are less
suffering less from stress and have more positive thinking. However, the
study revealed that these activities often require much more money
in comparison to other activities. Given this, people work hard to do their
leisure activities.
All in all, because of reasons mentioned above, I firmly
believe that people have to work to earn more money rather than to get social
recognition. |
