▶ Your Answer :
Most freshmen
have freedom as entering the university that they have not had in high schools.
It seems like they are very pleased about doing what they want to, but their please
disappears soon. They do not know how to manage their time as well as they have
not thought about their interests that they can do during free time. Students
wander psychologically as they have free by entering the university as well as
think limitedly by using only knowledge that they learned in high schools.
Therefore, I support this idea that university students should take different
classes. First of all, they
can find their talent by taking various experiences. Different classes require students
to do different things such as sports, lab experiments, finding origins of some
areas, or name. Students try what they have not had in high school. Through these
activities, they find their interests and further they can outline their future. To take my
friend as an example, her major was economics. Her university allowed students
to take other classes regardless of fields. After she took a nursing class and
practiced at the hospital, she decided to change her major. However, her school
did not have nursing school, so she tried to take a test to enter other school.
She always said that she is happy about studying what she wants to and if she
did not take the nursing class, she would have hesitated to get a job.
In addition,
they can broaden their thoughts by sharing with different people. When people
who have each different major gather together for some group works, they feel
hard to reach compromise with ideas what each person has. However, they can
know others’ opinion and they can tell which is more appropriate to apply to their
works. For example, when I took a required class that was applied to all
freshmen, a teacher gave us assignment about junk food. After we presented our
homework, some interesting situation happened. I searched it focusing on the characteristics
of the region that fat people gathered because my major is geography, and the
other student who majored mathematics analyzed the number of people who are
obesity because of junk food. Through this class, I learned that how many
methods I can use to research and learned more about junk food.
To sum up with, taking classes in
various fields is really important for students to find what they like and
outline their future. Also they broaden their thoughts by meeting different people. Students
should use opportunities that university allows them to do. The time spent in
university is very important because it could make students’ lives different. |
