▶ Your Answer :
People often move out from their hometown. There are some reasons such as getting a chance to earn much money there or to have good opportunity for the education of their children. Even though their dreams come true, however, we cannot confirm that people who live outside their hometime are happier and more successful than those who stick to living in their native towns. There are two reasons; happiness and success cannot be defined in a way and leaving the town can be a risky decision. First of all, happiness and success are not an objective value but a subjective one so each person has different definition of them. Some people think that the happiness is the same amount of money that they have. Others may think that the greatest happiness is being with their good-old lovers and friends for a long time. This means that the claim that a person is happier than another person cannot be valid. For example, my grandfather who is a farmer, not rich at all, and is living in a same place for over 50 years, doesn't envy his old friend who has many buildings in a big city and earn a lot of money from other places. My grandfather believes that there are things that money never can buy; the memorable time with his wife in his town.
Secondly, even though we define money as the measurement of success, moving out from hometown can be a risky solution. If a person has been raised in one place, he would have a great network in the place. Not to mention his family, there are many trusty friends and residents who know him a lot. Therefore, it will be easier to set his business up at the hometown and can prosper a lot. If he leaves the town, however, he should start over from the bottom. In a new place, he needs to build his connection which allows his business to go well, which is hard for an alien. Therefore, we cannot assure that people can financially successful outside their hometown.
In sum, people choose where to live and it influence the way people live. I think that moving out from their own villages are not happier and more successful because it is impossible to define a happiness and sucess in a way and going to other places can be risky. |
