▶ Your Answer : Of course, a lot of court cases deal with hostile friends fighting over unpaid money these days, and there is a proverb saying that "Lend your money and lose your friends". Thus, some critics may argue that lending your money can deteriorate the true friendship. however, I strongly believe that financial loans between friends do not ruin friendship at all.
To begin with, we can reinforce our friendship by lending money each other. This is because going through a hard time together can solidify relationship. Let me take my personal experience as an example. When I was sixteen years old, my best friend 'Jin-won Kim' lended my money in order to pay for high school tuition. he was so poor that he could not afford to pay for expensive school tuition. So, I lended him my money and he paid back the money after earning some money by working in several part time jobs. After six years later, I accidently had a car accident and needed a large amount of money for being hospitalized. Although I did not have any money, he lended me his hard-earned money. So I could overcome that situation. Had it not been for, I could not have overcame that crisis. By having these experiences, we could build strong unity and maintained our true friendship.
On top of that, lending money itself does not related to deteriorating friendship. In other words, the relation between lending money and loosing friends is not proportional. According to the research of Korea Financial Research Institute, the largest financial research organization in the south korea, people who lended thier money to friends and maintained the frienship took 73 percent of all poll participants. Meanwhile, people who did not lend their money to their friends and maintained friendship took 70 percent. That is to say, there are no relation between lending money and friendship. This shows that the most important factor in maintaining friendship is not the money lending relationship, but, trust each other.
In conclusion, I strongly argue for my standpoint on account of the two reasons mentioned above. Once again, although the verdict may still be out, I personally believe that two of my rationales are sufficiently convincing enough to represent the viewpoints of a majority of people who are in favor of my claim. |
