A Big
Regret I Once Made
Have you ever
lost who you love? The biggest regret of my life did not stay to my
great
grandmother at her last breathe when I was 16 years old. First of all, she
sometimes said
that
she passed away soon to our family so we were with her when she felt she was in
the
article
of death. But this was repeated the second time and the third time then I ignored
that.
While
she was in her last moment, I was spending time in the shopping mall. When I
arrived
at
home, she already closed her eyes. Tears covered my eyes as I heard the news of
her death.
I
was extremely sad and shocked so I could not stay at home and bear the sight of
her face. I
was
wondering in the street for a long time. I should have stayed with her and seen
the last
glimpse
of her. After that, I suddenly realized the importance of my family. For
example,
When
I was teenagers, For me, my friends took priority over my family. I did not always
attend
family occasions in order to spend with my friends. However, after my great
grandmother
went to heaven, first and foremost, my family meant everything to me. Finally,
I
have positively changed in my life. For instance, I did not much talk with my
family before
that
happened. But although I have been living in the United States and far away
from my
family
I have often contacted with our family more once a week and been apprehensive
of
my
family everytime because if anything comes up, I have to know that immediately
and I
would
stay with my family. I wish It will not happen again. In conclusion, not being
able to
be
my great grandmother’s side when she passed away but this has really made me
more
mature
and realized again how precious a family is.
