▶ Your Answer :
People have conflicting opinions on whether parents are the best teachers for their children or not. However, I am in agreement with the former stand for two reasons. First, they spend most of their times with their children when they are young, and second, they are what their children try to become in their young ages.
First of all, parents are people who children spend most of their time with when they are still young and active in learning. Hence, parents decide whether something is beneficial or harmful, then screen first. Parents try their children to learn what is the best, not only educationally but also socially. For instance, my cousin who was homeschooled, was taught by his father until he finished high school equivalent education. As he grows up, they were managed to have strong relationships and my cousin learned not only curriculum that are necessary to pursue higher education, but also important values of being a rightful person. When he is in a tough situation, he sought helps from my uncle and my uncle guided him right ways to manage the situation. Because they spend most of their time together, they have very tight relationships. Just like my uncle, my cousin grows up as a caring person.
Secondly, young children copy their parents’ actions quickly. Children who wanted to manipulate adults, will adopt their actions and this will result in positive way. A good parent would not show an aggressive behavior in front of one’s children because he or she is aware of such phenomenon. My mother has been a wonderful mentor to me. She was a great lady with a warm heart. She always smiles and acts sincerely that all neighbors and her clients alike trust her. I was proud of my mother that I was constantly trying to be as a sympathetic person as my mother. Without realizing it, I always am avoiding to say harsh words to people, and try to be nice to them.
Although there are several people who can be teachers for children, I strongly believe that parents are the most influential and wonderful teachers for their children. They are the one children spend their most time with, and wants to become. Therefore, the statements are agreeable. |
