It is often said that it is better to have an ambitious goal than to have a realistic goal. However, I believe that having an ambitious goal is not good for the following reasons: not having many chances and cause one’s stress level to go up. deeper.
To begin with, having an ambitious goal only has a few chances to achieve it. This is because people who have big goal can’t make a plan effectively. Having a big goal can also mean easy failure. People who have big goal might feel frustrated before they reach their goal. Thus, through the consequences that arise from unrealistic goal. However, dreaming of a realistic goal has more chances to accomplish them. For example, my older sister always dreamed to be a famous singer like Beyonce. Unfortunately, there was just a few possibility, like a lottery. She had changed little by little after she faced the real world. She realized that it was really hard to accomplish it, and then she became more realistic to be a singer, such as joining a band and learning dancing. Nowadays, she sings on stage with her band. As a result, she learned the hard way that the key to success is dreaming of a realistic goal with plans.

In addition, having a big dream can cause one’s stress level to go up. This is attributed to the fact that having an ambitious goal makes worries and stress. Therefore, if someone has a realistic goal, it allows their life to be happier. They also do not need to feel frustration and anger. According to the Ministry of Education of Korea in 2010, students who had realistic dreams performed better in school. In comparison, those who did not have realistic goals ended up with poorer grades than the former group. Not to mention, they produced bad results, such as smoking, drinking, and stealing to cope with their stress. This implies that having a realistic goal serves as a safe and good method to let out frustration and stress.
In brief, having an ambitious goal is harmful for these reasons by which are no chances and full of stress. All in all, people should have realistic goals to keep their lives happier. |
