It is controversial whether friends are the factor in having an more impact on a student's behavior than whose teachers. Although most people think that since the teachers can give right pieces of advice to him, teachers affect him significantly, I strongly believe friends can have more influence on an individual's behavior than teachers in that he spends most time and can share many things with their friends. I will explain my idea by presenting two reasons as follows.
First, students spend much more time with their friends compared to their teachers. This means that they have more opportunities to talk with them and observing their behavior. Students have a greater possiblity of copying others' behaviors because they are immature. For this reason, the subjects which are copied are more likely to be their friends. However, in the case of teachers, they meet them in classes, so they have less chances to communicate and interact with them. Therefore, it reduces an opportunity to be copied by students.
Secondly, students can share many things with their friends, which can be the factor in affecting them. People can feel sympathy easily when they are in the same stiuation, which allows them to be more open-minded to others who are considered to be the people who share many things with them. In the case of students, since they have the same interests and goals and traits, they can get closed and be easily affected by each other. On the other hands, they are rarely affected by their teachers because there are few things that students can share with their teachers.
In conclusion, as I have just mentioned above, I think that a student's behavoir or thought are more susceptable to those of their friends than those of their teachers. |
