나름 열심히 했는데 완전 오래걸렸어요..ㅜㅠ
When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success. 찬/반인데요.
보통 사람들이면 찬성이라고 쓰겠지만 반대라고 썼습니다.
이렇게 쓰면 점수가 얼마 나올까요?
Many people deceive themselves into believing that they can succeed without luck. However, I assure you that this is not a veritable statement at all, and people who believe in such wrong quotations will fail at the end. This is because there were many people who didn’t succeed even though they worked very hard, and also because
First of all, there were many people in the world who put all the efforts they could but did not succeed. Even though everyone nowadays acknowledges them as succeeded people, they were ignored at their time eras. An example is Galileo and Copernicus, who believed in heliocentric world. Back then, everyone believed in geocentric theories, which meant that Galileo and Copernicus were ignored by others. Finally, Galileo was accused of standing against the church, the main authority, and was punished. If Galileo were born at another time period, such as after the Enlightenment when the Church or any other groups couldn’t have the sole authority over people, his ideas might have been accepted more easily. This shows that people need luck in order to succeed.
Moreover, people cannot be acknowledged without an opportunity. Even though luck cannot exclusively determine one’s success, it does have great effects. What is the use of being smart and getting straight A’s if no one cares about grades? Why would you keep working when no one recognizes your work and gives you more chances? That is exactly what would happen in a communist society. At first, everyone would work hard because they think that they would be rewarded equally. However, one person or two would soon find out that they would still be treated the same even if they don’t work as hard as others do. This idea would spread throughout the whole society like a disease and everyone would stop working. They would get tired before they can succeed because they are not given enough chances to step up and be proud of themselves. This proves that people need luck and chances so that they can go beyond other people and succeed.
To conclude, there were millions of people who worked hard and didn’t succeed at the time because of their circumstances and people need to be given opportunities to work prominently. Thus, I think that the quotation ‘When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success’ is wrong.
