It is often said that the most important value of being a leader is remarkable result. However, I do not agree with the previous statement because orienting only the productive result can cause the atmosphere that neglecting the team members. Leader should workers to feel involved to the company for the following two reasons: leader is responsible for making the comfortable working environment. Also, the best result comes from each person’s participant.
First of all, leader should make people feel comfortable in the group. It is his duty that make a relaxing working environment for employees. It one feels being separated with the group, it is obvious that he or she will lost the passion. The prudent leader will not let this happen. For example, one of my friends used to work in a Sam-sung company. Just because she did not have many experiences as others, she was being neglected from her boss. Finally, she lost her passion to work and ended up quitting. At her new job, her boss tried to make her feel like home. She loved her job and she did her best to every project. She now recalls that family-like working environment made her to work very hard and come up with the best ideas.
In addition, only after all members of the group trually participate in the important process, the company can make the best decision. If each person do their best for the company, while making important process, there is no doubt that the company will end up with the best result. To illustrate, according to the study conducted by Korea Times in 2009, 40% of employees do not know or care about important decisions in their company. They argues that their company do not want to share important ideas with them. To make it worse, because of not knowing the important process of the company, most people do not care about it. They seemed very separated. It is obvious that they do not have any affection or responsibility to their job.
To conclude, leader should try to make others to feel being participate to the company. This is because one of the duties that leader should have – build cooperating atmosphere among the people. Also, only after everyone’s involvement, the company can make the best result. |
