It is controversial whether many pieces of information that the media provides for people are enough true to believe. Although most people think that the media target the public,a variety pieces of inforamtion that is introduced by the media would be reliable, I strongly believe that sticking to the information is always not good for people. I will explain my idea by presenting two reasons as follows.
Fisrt, in the case of Internet, since anyone write their opinions and thoughts, there is a great possibility of producing misinformation and intentially unfair information. The system of Internet is based on the rule of sharing information among people. However, there are seldom regulations about writing incorrect and producing wrong information. For this reason, today's people who usually use internet are required to distinguish correct informaion from wrong information. For example, the famous Korean singer "Tablo" has recently had difficulty time because some people asserted that he manipulated his university career. Although this suggestion is not true, this event has a negative effect on his reputation.
Secondly, there have been many examples of propagandas of the media. Governments in many countries have been used to use the media to instil their ideology into the public. The reason why the governments used the media is that using the media such as TV, news papers and radio is effective way to inform people of a huge amount of biased informaion in a short time. Therefore, many people who belived that the media would provide true information became victims of propagandas that were intentionally devised by the government.
In conclusion, I have just mentioned above, people shoud be cautious in having access to the media, since the media has many incorrect information and is likely to be means of propagandas. |
