As our society has developed much, academic requirement for students has increased. Consequently, high school students are supposed to learn more subjects compared to the previous generations, which brought controversy about whether they have to study various fields for gaining wider a wide range of knowledge or to focus on what they are interested in for deeper understanding one. I strongly believe that high school students should have their chance to choose subjects they would like to learn learn according to their intention. It is not only because students can be more specialized in a certain field, but also because it can enhance the quality of classes.
First of all, students can benefit from choosing what they like to study(,) because they can boost their skill on the fields which they decided to study. One of the major purposes of high school education is to make get students be ready (to prepare) for studying in universities. As they have to choose what to major in colleges, it will be very helpful and efficient for them to study subjects related to their future majors in advance. For example, in high school, I studied economics which became my major in college later. It was very useful(,) because I could learn the principal concepts of the academy and could get used to many jargons before I enter a college.
In addition, the quality of education can be enhanced by letting students choose the subjects as their tastes. It is more likely to be that students are interested in classes when students take what they want they make a choice for subjects than to take subject merely forced forcing them to study, which are all necessary (subjects). Therefore, students can concentrate on the class(,) and participate aggressively (show the aggressiveness). It makes teachers enthusiastic about the classes and well prepared, which are directly related to the quality of classes. To illustrate, a recent study conducted in Korea have indicated shows that students who are allowed to take subject depending on their interest of classes which allow them to study voluntarily tend to outpace students, in who take compulsory classes.
All in all, high school students should be allowed to select subjects (which) they study(,) as it helps students (to) be specialized in certain fields as well as teachers to create more efficient classes. Given (that) those two strong points, I firmly argue that high school students’ right for taking what they want to do subject decision are should be guaranteed more secured.
