It is often said that students are influenced more by their friends than by their teachers. Some people might disagree with this opinion because teachers could make their students Even though the jury is still out, however, I agree that peers more affect to their friends than teachers for a couple of reasons.
To begin with, usually there are not enough teachers at school. Not only that, each teacher doesn't have enough time for thier student. In other word, there are too many students to handle with a few teachers. For example, when I was high school student, I wanted to ask my math teacher to explain how to integrate the functions again. However, he was too busy because there were a lot of students who are in the same situation as me.Therefore, I asked about that to my classmate who was good at math and he explained it. This is one of the reasons why I believe that friends are more influential.
In addition, since students spend more time with their friends than teachers, it is obvious that friends can influence much more. To be specific, in terms of teachers, the time which teachers and students spend with is too short; only at school. However, the peers can effect on not only our academical area but also physical one. Take my personal experience as an example. Three months ago, I was worried because there were two women who love me and I should choice among them. I didn't make a decision because I didn't want to hurt the girl who are not selected, so I wanted to ask my teacher about what should I do, but I could not because it was summer vacation. However, one of my friends who live in same apartment with me suggested good solution, so I could overcome the crisis. This is another reason why I see that friends have more influence.
To summarize what I mentioned above, I strongly believe that friends have more power on our life than teacher. This is because we spend more time with our friends and there are not enough teachers. All things considered, there is no doubt that no one can deny the importance of his/her peers. |
