Technologies such as cellular phones, computers and pmp have made our life convenient with its utility like calling. They frequently kept on improving that our grandparents don't know how to use them. However, despite its functions, life in 21st century is not easier and cozier than life of our grandparent's childhood. During their time, the competitiveness were not as high as now and everyone were usually happy.
First of all, less competitiveness makes life easier and cozier. Recently, it became a must that students have to study to have jobs in the future. Every day they keep their minds in education because lots of adults are unemployed these days. To get employed, pupils should forego their fellow classmates. On the other hand, in grandparents' days, most of the people did not have to compete each other because they were able to get a job without being top ranked. This makes their life easier and cozier. For example, a boy got an average score in the class and because he does not have to worry about the future job, he feels confident in his studies. He would probably play outside with others. In present day, scores must be high to get a good job, and this just distresses the person.
Moreover, being ordinary makes them confident. Parents are working hard to earn money. They try to send their child to a better institution or school. Even though the child has enough education, parents' desire doesn't stop because they want their sons and daughters to be successful in the future. So, there are lots of students suiciding because of pressure in their academics. However, in the times of our grandparents childhood, they did not need to earn a lot of money because their pride wasn't that high. Though there were times when young people aren't able to learn cause of insufficient money, they didn't stress out but they were rather confident just for having food. Society these days want their child to be successful. Putting too much pressure gives them a harder life.
To sum it all, the easy and cozy life is more suitable for grandparents’ days. We are having hard time getting jobs and getting education. Not only that, we also get lots of pressures from our parents too. Technologies may be convenient but they cannot make our life easier and cozier. |
