It is often said that children are influenced from so many things from the outside rather than their parents. I agree with the previous statement for the following two reasons: children rarely have time to spend with their parents. Also, children want more freedom from their parents.
To begin with, parents cannot control their childen due to the fact that they do not have enough time to spend together. Nowadays, not only parents but also children are very busy with their lives. When they come back home, they want to take a rest by watching TV or hanging out with their friends rather than spending time with the family. Finally, kids are exposed to the outside components rather than their parents, which lead to parents cannot control their kids anymore. For example, I have a friend whose both parents are full time workers. They rarely spend time together and give advices. My friend who do not care about this says she has enough friends and advisors outside of the house. It seems that teachers, friends and books are enough for her. She also added that she do not need her parents’ concern – it would rather bother her.
In addition, as children grow, they want more freedom and independence from their parents. They do not want to be controlled by their parents. They spend most of the time separately from their family. Whatever they do, they are exposed to the outside activities and influences. So, kids will be influenced from the activities they enjoy not from the parents. To illustrate, as individualism is spreading out, kids do not want any administration from parents. They want to move out since they are young, and they don’t want their parents to come in to their room for privacy. In his or her room, they create and build their own lives helped by many outside factors. They seem to rely on TV or the internet over parents.
To conclude, children are no longer controlable. This is because lack of conversation due to the busy lives as well as the freedom claimed by the children. |
