According to the listening passage, Digital library is not a beneficial system to people. This challenges the reading passage’s claim that the digitalization of library improves our lives.
Firstly, digital libraries offer too many information which is irrelevent to searchers. When people search infomation in the Internet, they may embarrassed with flooded information. This contradicts the part in the reading passage where it says digital libraries have adventage of convenience.
Senodly, Using digital libraries cost a lot of money for people to use them. To access the Internet, equipment is required such as computers or the Internet connections. It makes difficult to approach digital libraries via the Internet, except (for?) the rich. This idea goes against the reading passage’s opinion that resources of digital libraries allow every person to access to it, even to country residents.
Lastly, it can cause privacy problems. Because of easy accessibility, which is one of the Internet’s features, a person steal abundant information from other’s codified data. From this aspect, the statement explained in the reading that digital libraries elevate the speed at which ideas are sahred is not correct.
To sum up, the listening, lecturer opposes to the reading passage. By insisting, there are not many benefits in(on?) digital libraries compares to usual libraries. |
