It is often said that it is more important for the young to do exercise because they have more opportunities to work for their nations. However, I firmly believe that the old even should do exercise for two reasons: the quality of their life and the development of country.
To begin with, older people should reduce their stress through sports. This is because older people have no choice to reduce stress. On the other hand, younger people are able to relieve their stress through diverse activities such as internet game, joining social clubs, and manifold sports. It is obvious that stress is one of the factors of diseases and it can lessen human lifespan. According to the survey conducted by the Seoul National University in 2007, a test on mice shown that mice that regularly experienced electric shocks were reduced their lifespan. Interestingly, researchers found a link between this and human being who suffered from periodic stress. This implies that stress prevents people from living their healthy life.
In addition, if older people do exercise, they could act as the main agents of economic activity, which help their countries develop. It is obvious that the circulation of money can lead to the development of economy. The old have a lot of money, but they can’t use because most of the people have not power to move. Being healthy, they can use more money than the past and their countries would enhance the higher economic level. According to the survey conducted by the Seoul National University, recently, the medical cost used by people between ages of 60 to 80 was three times than the one used by people between the ages of 20 to 40. This implies that the doing exercise that the old do is directly relation to the development of the nation.
In brief, people often said that younger people is the hope for the country but older people is also important. We should encourage older people doing exercising wherever and whenever they want. This is the best way to the advanced countries.
